riesling
2005
tasting notes
a light colour tinted with green. Sparkling clarity
tightly knit style showing excellent citrus aromatics and a hint of limes; slight quince with a hint of orange blossom tied to a strong mineral finish.
fine acid style with a tight palate structure keeping the flavours delicate but persistent; the minerality of the wine is holding the flavours in check and allowing them to develop and retain their persistence whilst lengthening the palate.
only the first 500 litres/tonne were used to keep the wine fresh and delicate. A cool formation of 12-15 degrees Celsius over a period of 5 weeks has helped retain the variety's inherent freshness.
