Dark plum fruit fills the front palate and is backed the wonderful Great Southern cool-climate notes of violets and black pepper. Nose: Dense mulberries and plums fruit characters are backed by spice and hints of black pepper. There are cedary characters, from the quality French oak, in the background. Rich and intensely flavoured, yet still shows finesse and balance.

Palate: The front palate is filled by ripe plum fruits and subtle, cedary, French oak characters. The spice and pepper notes flow through the mid-palate and the firm yet balanced tannins provide a great structure and drive to the wine. The tannins combine with a wonderful acid line to give a long and lingering finish.
