Shiraz 2015

A deep, rich Shiraz from Western Australia with complex aromas of fruit, spice and hints of pepper. Black cherries, ripe plums and rich chocolate fill the front palate; the cedary French oak characters add to the fleshy mid palate; and the back palate has a firm tannin structure in the background.

Enjoy now or for up to 10 years.

Alc/Vol: 13.5%

Harvest Date: 21st March 2015

Bottling Date: 24th August 2016

pH: 3.55

Titrable Acidity: 6.4g/L

Colour: Deep and vibrant red colour

Bouquet: Vibrant, fresh, plum fruit characters are backed by cool climate Shiraz notes of black pepper and ground allspice. There are cedary characters, from the quality French oak, in the back ground.

Palate: Plush, generous and flavoursome front palate that is seductive and appealing. There is a fine and delicate structure, offsetting the rich front palate beautifully. The spice and pepper notes flow through the mid-palate and the firm yet balanced tannins provide a great structure and drive to the wine. The tannins combine with a wonderful acid line to give a long and lingering finish. Enjoy now with red meat or cheeses or cellar for eight to ten years.
