3drops began with a family farm and a vision- a vision to produce premium wines and extra virgin olive oil whilst maintaining the integrity of the land for generations to come. Southwest of Mount Barker in the heart of the acclaimed Great Southern wine region of Western Australia, vines and olive trees flourish side by side in the cool, pristine climate.
The 3drops vineyard comprises 15 fertile hectares planted with varieties of Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Shiraz. Italian, Greek and Spanish varieties of olive trees thrive alongside the vines. The name 3drops was chosen to reflect the attributes of three precious liquids wine, olive oil and water, with both the vineyard and olive grove carefully irrigated from a large wetland on the property.
The melding of time honoured tradition, passion and sensibility with contemporary techniques and the latest technology, enables 3drops to produce wines with distinctive varietal and regional characters.
3drops has received a 5-star rating in the 2023 Australian Wine Companion. This rating is awarded to “outstanding wineries capable of producing wines of very high quality and did so this year. Will have at least two wines rated at 95 points or above” James Halliday and the team at the Australian Wine Companion review more than 3000 wineries located in diverse regions around Australia, to assemble one of the most thorough winery resources in the country.
3drops has also made The Real Review Top Wineries of Australia 2022. 3drops inclusion in this list means we’re in the top 18% of Australia’s 2,000-plus wineries
