2022 Great Southern Pinot Noir
The 3drops Pinot Noir 2022 is now available.
Light red in color, 3drops 2022 Great Southern Pinot Noir has an elegant nose of wild strawberries, red currants, and an underlying hint of savouriness.
On the palate, it's elegant but succulent with a fine tannin structure, smooth and creamy texture, and a lively spiciness on the finish. The high-quality French oak is in the background and integrates beautifully with the fine tannin structure.
Ready to drink now, or you can cellar it over the next 8-10 years to further develop the typical earthy flavours which are a characteristic of Pinot Noir.
If wining and dining, we'd recommend matching our Pinot with grilled salmon, braised duck or an afternoon of cheese, charcuterie, and good company.

"This establishes its quality from the first sip, the texture and structure with greater depth and forest floor complexity than most others from the Great Southern. There is a beating pulse to this wine that will capture attention for years. Drink to 2035."

"Serious and playful at once. Overt, lush, deep, dark, red fruits in abundance. Ripe, wild strawberries with subtle cedar and toast from time in oak. What sets this apart is a seamlessness on the palate. Everything in its place. Resolved delicate tannins, sit lightly amongst raspberry, spice and field mushroom. A young wine but ready to drink. Why wait?"

"Take in the first sniff of fresh strawberries and you know immediately you are in a heady zone. This is a mighty impressive pinot. The combination of spicy red fruits and an ever so subtle truffle character is most appealing. The palate has a fine persistent acidity contributing to a firm spine. Cellar 8 years"
